The German Journal of Economic Geography is the only journal on research related to Economic Geography in the German-speaking countries. The main focus is on theory-based, empirically derived research findings with high relevance for practitioners, such as business promotion agencies or economic consultancies. It covers all fields of research of economic geography and regional economics and concentrates on the spatial structure and dynamics of local, regional, national and international economic regions. Additionally it promotes special issues on innovative research questions and fields of research at the interface of space and economy.
