Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of many economies. This makes it all the more important to steadily broaden the knowledge base in research on small and medium-sized enterprises – for the entrepreneurs themselves, for policy-makers/governments, social scientists, and others affected by developments in this field.
The forum for small and medium-sized enterprises is a joint initiative of the University of Applied Sciences Chur, University Siegen and the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
The forum serves as a platform to discuss new ideas in this field between theory and practice. To serve this purpose, the forum on topics relating to small and medium-sized businesses is held every two years. The conference is targeted of representatives from research and academia with an interest in management and economics of small and medium-sized enterprises, and at representatives of the areas of politics and professional associations.
